  1. The best way for companies to access diverse and talented young professionals

FARFETCH, the global platform for the luxury fashion industry, has partnered with EdTech start-up Multiverse to launch a Digital Marketing Academy.

The Digital Marketing programme delivers best-in-class training with one-to-one coaching. Over the programme, apprentices will master data wrangling and analysis techniques. The programme also covers data science, including Python and an introduction to machine learning.

As a leader in fashion and technology, the move shows a commitment from FARFETCH towards on-the-job training and skills development for its staff.

It also shows the company’s commitment to diversity. The recruitment process will target non-graduates across London, and Multiverse has a track record of placing candidates from a range of backgrounds into the top roles.

The training will be delivered by Multiverse, a startup tech company focused on high-quality education and training through a unique professional apprenticeship model. The company announced the closing of a $44 million Series B funding round earlier this year and has tripled the number of apprentices trained to 3,000 in the last twelve months.

The best way for companies to access diverse and talented young professionals

Jeremy Duggan, President at Multiverse, said: "Apprenticeships are the best way for companies to access diverse and talented young professionals at the start of their career. An apprenticeship enables them to learn new skills, get a step up on the career ladder and access the best and most exciting careers - regardless of their background. We're delighted to be working with FARFETCHto bring talented apprentices into their business."

Multiverse matches talented individuals with careers and delivers world-class training in a wide range of qualifications in leadership, digital and technology. Apprentices benefit from one-to-one coaching with an industry expert and are supported by a thriving community with events, socials, mentoring and leadership programmes designed to exceed the best of the university experience.

FARFETCH’s investment in their new academy comes via the Apprenticeship Levy.

Natalie Matalon, Senior Director of Talent Acquisition Strategy, said: “We’re really excited to be enhancing our Digital Marketing skills at FARFETCH. The launch of the new apprenticeship program alongside the support of Multiverse demonstrates Farfetch's commitment to attracting and developing diverse talent. Applications are now open for young professionals within our community from all backgrounds, who are interested in the future of fashion and technology to join our revolutionary team here at FARFETCH."
