NCR, a leading enterprise technology provider that runs stores, restaurants and self-directed banking, will recruit 50 apprentices in the UK to its Professional Services team over the coming months. This new programme was launched in collaboration with Multiverse, a startup tech company that provides high-quality apprenticeship programmes that combine work, training and community.

NCR Professional Services is recruiting young professionals in the UK into its apprenticeship programme, with an objective to attract talented students from a diversity of backgrounds. Apprentices will receive training in data and digital skills, with 30 enrolled into a Digital Business Accelerator programme and 20 on the degree-level Advanced Data Fellowship. Apprentices will work in customer-facing, consulting roles - a crucial function in NCR’s growth strategy.

The Digital Business Accelerator programme will provide all new hires formal training in the core skills necessary to thrive in a digital business world, combining world-class content and one-to-one coaching in areas like project management, problem solving and communication.

In addition, the Advanced Data Fellowship - a degree-level programme - will help apprentices develop their skills in data analysis and data science. Apprentices will build core capabilities in areas like statistical testing, data ethics, predictive modelling and data security.

Apprentices will further benefit from one-to-one coaching with industry experts and will be supported by a thriving community with events, social activities and mentoring.

"Professional apprenticeships offer a unique and exciting way for great companies to invest in their workforces and develop leaders of the future,” said Jeremy Duggan, president of Multiverse. “It’s brilliant to see yet another world-class employer further extending their recruitment of high-quality, non-graduate talent.”

“We are excited to grow our future talent as NCR continues its strategy to accelerate growth in consulting and services,” said Ismail Amla, NCR Executive Vice President for Professional Services. “We fully expect this to be only the first of many intakes of apprentices through this programme and we will continue to grow this base of young talent in addition to the recruitment to our graduate programme.”
